I am so excited about finding Bark-N-Call for my Yorkie, Buddy. I am having surgery, so this is a long stay. He has great care providers, his own little "house", and lots of friends to play with.
Our dogs bounce in and come back full of energy, and are always very happy and calm. We are "regulars" and we love the care that our dogs get here. The staff are dog experts and the dogs are always attended. I recommend At Your Bark-n-Call to everyone.
What a great experience! I just picked my dog up from the groomer and it was amazing to see how happy and relaxed he was. They did an amazing job with his haircut and left him looking fresh! The staff was so friendly and sweet and made us feel at home. We will definitely be coming back and recommending this place to our friends and family! What a 5 paw experience!
So for some reason our dogs aren't allowed back but I'm sure the other one is because the owner was very sympathetic about that one, saying it was a regular dog that comes in for "doggy daycare." Might you after the incident that owner was in contact with us and was quite snippy in the beginning until we called her out on the other bad reviews on Google. She worked with us enough to shut us up, giving us a horrible copy of the video footage and only of the incident, not of the entire day so I can evaluate how they treated my dogs.
They get two stars because they didn' t kill my dogs and their facility doesn't use traditional chain link fence kennels.
Staff is friendly, besides the owner. None of the handlers asked how to handle our dogs or what commands they know, or anything else. So they could not successfully socialize our dogs. On the second to last day our dogs were there, the gate malfunctioned and the handler could not keep control of our dog. Our dog got into a fight with another dog. Somehow it was our dog's fault even though it was their equipment that failed and their handlers that couldn't handle our dog. The other dog in the fight was also isolated from the group because it did not socialize well with others.
Our dog stayed at AYBNC in late october. He came home exhausted like he had played a lot and we were very pleased at first. We noticed about a week after he came home that he was missing fur in some places and he had irritated, flaky,& red skin in those places. We gave him oatmeal baths and everything we could to help but it only increased. It has now been 3 weeks since his stay and we took him to the vet to see what was going on. It turns out he has mange. Note that our dog had not been anywhere else but AYBNC, our own home, and the pet hospital for a neuter. When i called AYBNC to inform them that he had gotten the mange from them so that they could clean their facility and make sure it didnt happen to anyone elses dog, it became a blame game and she became extrememly rude and defensive. I was simply trying to inform her of the situation and didnt want anything in return but all she could do was deny, deny, deny. She then told me that she was going to call all the people whos dogs had stayed at the same time and let them know that we had taken our dog there already WITH mange, which is not at all true. I was taken aback at the sheer unprofessional way she handled the conversation. Although it seemed my dog had a great time while at AYBNC i will not be bringing my dog back due to the awful way i was treated. I am simply posting this to make sure other loving dog owners know what happened so they can make sure their dogs are protected.
